---
- A bit of a shy guy who may need a few days to warm up, but once he feels comfortable he's very affectionate and loves to snuggle with his people
- Laid-back and sweet in his foster home, but may have more energy once he's had time to fully settle into a new home
- Likes toys and being outside, but his favorite activity is sniffing around and following his nose
- Has done well in the house when left alone for short periods
- His foster family said he appears to be housetrained; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule
- Knows sit and is learning to come when called; likes treats and takes them gently
- Rides well in the car
- Young, busy or noisy kids may be a bit much for him, so he may do best in a more mature home
- Has done well with other dogs but can be an introvert at times; may enjoy a low-key dog friend in his new home
- Interested in the cats in his foster home and may bother them a bit just because he's so curious, but he has been good when interacting
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
