- Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats!
- Knows sit and does well on a leash
- Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home
- Will do best with a seatbelt in the car
- Foster family says she has made food progress on crate training and potty training in their home
- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her (mature home recommended)
- Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style; must meet any resident dogs before adoption
- Will need a slow introduction to any cats in the home and may do best in a home with no cats
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
