- Very lovable, easygoing guy once he's comfortable; loves cuddles, pets and attention
- May prefer to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he's in a home environment and has had time to decompress
- Previous family said his favorite toys were tennis balls and a dinosaur stuffy
- Knows sit, shake and stay, and walks nicely on a leash
- His previous family said he was fully housetrained and crate-trained in their home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule
- Fireworks and strangers tend to make him uncomfortable
- Lived with school-age children in his previous home and did extremely well with them; his previous family said he was very devoted to their kids
- Has done well with other dogs and was used to going to activities like doggy day care and dog parks in his previous home; enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style
- Lived with cats in his previous home
- Has a condition known as chronic inflammation of the ear canal and will most likely need medicated ear cleansers in the future as well as having his ears monitored by a veterinarian (more info at ARL)
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
