- LOVES to be a lap dog and will crawl into your lap for pets and attention; enjoys butt scratches
- Enjoys just hanging out with his people, but he's also content to do his own thing; will greet you with a wiggly tail wag
- Loves playing with water and enjoys the mist from the hose
- Likes treats and takes them pretty gently
- Was quite shy when he arrived, but has been gradually gaining confidence and making friends while in our care; may need some extra patience and time to settle into a new home
- Some kids may be too much for him; would benefit from a mature home where all family members can help him continue his confidence-building
- Can be socially awkward with other dogs, but may enjoy a like-minded dog in his new home (dog intro required)
- We don't know his history with cats
- May have allergies (more info at ARL)
- Has struggled with medical handling, and we highly recommend adopters work with a Fear Free-certified veterinarian for his vet visits

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
